Choosing to Praise The Lord

Joshua‬ ‭24:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “ And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD .”” ‭‭ The world hassles us every day; I don’t have to tell you that. Our fears, anxieties, and hurts are very real. But if we focus only on these earthly problems, then very soon the spiritual realm becomes foggy and unreal. We lose sight of God and slide into pessimism and even depression. Life loses its joy and excitement. If we limit our thinking to this world alone, it will grind us down into the dust from which we were created. No matter how difficult or unjust our circumstances become, we can exercise our free will and choose to praise God rather than ignore Him. Praise has a strong emotional dimension—as we see in the Psalms—but it is not driven by emotions. Praise...

THE STORM IS OVER!!!

Image
THE STORM IS OVER!!! But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water . Mark 4:37 Storms are designed to stretch you and get you on track with the original plan of God for your life. The enemy would love to see your life in COMPLETE DISARRAY. The enemy would love nothing more than to see you lost, wandering around the "desert places" of life.  Yes, you may have hit a few rough patches. You may have even felt like giving up.  But declares with me in a loud voice, "The storm is over!" Don't get caught up in the drama of the STORM.  The CREATOR created you better than that!!! Peace be with you!!!  Gods plans are always perfect .

Overcoming Disappointments

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. Isaiah 43:18 No matter how much faith you have, no matter how good you are, you will face disappointments. It may be something simple like not getting the promotion you hoped for, or not closing a business deal you worked so hard on. Maybe you didn't qualify for a house you really wanted, or maybe something more serious happened like a relationship not working out, the death of a loved one, or some kind of illness in your body. Whatever it may be, the reality is that we're all going to suffer some form of setbacks. I believe one of the main keys to overcoming disappointments is learning to let go of the past. If you feel "stuck" today, you may want to examine what you're holding on to. Be willing let go of past disappointments by choosing forgiveness. Who hurt you? Who wronged you? Release it to God. Do you need to forgive yourself? Do you need to receive God's forgiveness? Make the choice today...

Greater Than The Past

Image
Haggai 2:9, NIV “The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,” says the LORD Almighty. “And in this place I will grant peace …” God wants to amaze you with His goodness! We are living in a day where God is increasing His favor. Maybe you have seen God’s goodness to a certain degree in the past; but in reality, you haven’t seen anything yet! God has favor in your future that will supersede anything that you’ve seen! The scripture talks about how the glory of the latter day will be greater than the glory of the former day. That means what God did for your parents or grandparents, He’s going to surpass in your generation. The blessing and favor of past generations were good, but we serve a God of increase! He has greater things in store for your future! Today, get your hopes up! Enlarge your vision. Be expecting God to bring opportunities across your path. Be expecting to meet the right people...

Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?

Some itinerant Jews practiced exorcisms as their profession. They went from city to city pretending to cure people possessed with demons with some rituals. They presumptuously thought they could simply use “the name of the Jesus that Paul was preaching.” Amazingly it never occurred to them to seek to know the “Jesus that Paul was preaching.” They didn’t want to know Jesus but they wanted to use His power. “Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Acts 19:13 NKJV Some seven sons of Sceva also began to do same. “Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.” Acts 19:14 NKJV The sons of Sceva were emboldened by two things. • Some of their fellow exorcists were doing it. Apparently, their fellow exorcists were getting away with it because ...

LET IT GO NOW.

'Cast out this LET IT GO NOW and her son.' Genesis 21:10 When Abraham tried to hurry the plan of God and fulfill it through well-intention but misguided human effort, Ishmael was born.  Perhaps you have tried something similar yourself.  We all have our 'Ishmael's' - a good idea that wasn't a God idea,  and it can complicate your life.  So God told Abraham, 'Cast out this bondwoman and her son' (Genesis 21:10).  In other words: 'It's time to deal with your past and clean out your cupboard. This thing is holding you back, and until you deal with it you can't move forward to your destiny. Get it out of your life and don't look back!' Sometimes your miracle (Isaac) and your mistake (Ishmael) can live together for a while under the same roof. Things can be so good in one area of your life, yet so bad in another. But there comes a time when God says, 'Because of the plans I have for you, you must put this thing...
