Overcoming Disappointments

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. Isaiah 43:18 No matter how much faith you have, no matter how good you are, you will face disappointments. It may be something simple like not getting the promotion you hoped for, or not closing a business deal you worked so hard on. Maybe you didn't qualify for a house you really wanted, or maybe something more serious happened like a relationship not working out, the death of a loved one, or some kind of illness in your body. Whatever it may be, the reality is that we're all going to suffer some form of setbacks. I believe one of the main keys to overcoming disappointments is learning to let go of the past. If you feel "stuck" today, you may want to examine what you're holding on to. Be willing let go of past disappointments by choosing forgiveness. Who hurt you? Who wronged you? Release it to God. Do you need to forgive yourself? Do you need to receive God's forgiveness? Make the choice today...

FORGIVENESS; THE HIGHEST MANIFESTATION OF LOVE

Forgiveness is the highest sign of an ailment of love. The book of Mark says: And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.  26  But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. "Mark 11:25-26 25" Whenever you stand to pray, forgive. Jesus was pointing out the need for forgiveness if faith and prayer are to work. We have heard a lot about faith, but not enough about forgiveness.  Forgiveness is the highest manifestation of love, being able to forgive people that offend you is an evidence of having perfect love. The love of those who find it difficult to forgive is not yet made perfect. Anyone who lives in unforgiveness will automatically be under the bondage of fear. Prayer of faith will not work without love. Your willingness to forgive those who hurt you is the evidence of the love of God in you 1 peter 3:7 “In the ...
